Michael has been a soft tissue therapist since 1995. Michael brings in a wealth of experience and knowledge to the clinic, utilising his observational skills and clinical reasoning to alleviate a wide variety of acute and chronic complaints. Michael was a past VFL umpire and long distance runner.
Karen has been a soft tissue therapist since 1998. She specialises in Bowen therapy, utilising her tactile skills to alleviate a wide variety of acute and chronic complaints. The most appealing aspect of Bowen Therapy for Karen is its gentleness combined with the amazing ability of this modality to assist the body to heal itself. Bowen therapy is safe to use on all ages, from newborns to the elderly.
Karen has also been a Bowtech Instructor since 2000 and along with Michael has played a vital role in the National Accreditation of the Bowen Therapy training. She is a highly experienced trainer of Bowen Therapy and The Bowen Technique delivering Bowen Courses around Australia.
Craig has been a soft tissue therapist since 1999. He can alleviate a wide variety of acute and chronic complaints using his Onsen Technique training (Muscle Energy Technique). Craig is interested in fascia, attending workshops on Granter Myofascial Dysfunction techniques.
Craig is also a teacher at Border College of Natural Therapies, training students in remedial massage and Myotherapy.
Bec’s background is in the financial services industry, but her real passion is in health and well-being. Wanting a change in career after starting a family, she opened the Albury Float Room in December 2014. She is so excited to be offering this kind of treatment on the Border.
Bec was first introduced to float tanks by her sister and brother in law. About 6 months ago her sister suggested and encouraged her to start a float room in Albury. The float room has already had a number of clients through the doors and has seen some amazing transformations. Clients are floating regularly for a range of conditions or pure relaxation.
Bec has also recently undertaken relaxation massage training and will further develop this and train further in this area, learning new skills and techniques.
Amber has been a soft tissue therapist since 2003. Amber can alleviate wide variety of acute and chronic complaints. Her interests include therapeutic massage and Myofascial release were her tactile skills are used to unwind muscle tension and calm you down.
Glen has been a Remedial Therapist since 2001, initially undertaking studies in Sydney. He joins the Wodonga team in 2012. Glen’s main focus is on managing acute and chronic pain. Furthermore, his passion for travelling allowed him to undertake the role as head therapist on board the Queen Mary 2 for three years. Glen specialises in sports injury management and prevention. He applies a variety of techniques namely myofascial release, trigger point therapy and cross fibre massage. Glen has always had interest in the biomechanics of the body.
Lisa has been a Diploma Qualified Beauty Therapist since 1997. She is also a Certificate IV qualified Therapeutic Massage Therapist and an accredited Alexandria Professional Body Sugaring Practitioner. She is currently studying Naturopathy and Herbal Medicine and soon will be studying a Certificate IV in Bowen Therapy with Border College of Natural Therapies.
If you are after a mature, well experienced therapist, that will not rush you in and out and can give you advice on your personal care needs, then Lisa is your girl. Lisa’s availability is generally during school hours and can accommodate later appointments with notice.
Helping people to be as naturally healthy as they can be became a passion for David when he discovered the benefits of Bowen Therapy himself in his own wellbeing more than 10 years ago.
Having suffered from debilitating lower back pain since his early 20’s, David explored a wide range of treatments and medical intervention over many years in order to live the active lifestyle he wanted.
While some treatments or therapies offered temporary relief, none had the lasting effect he finally found in Bowen Therapy. This led to a decision to train as a Bowen Therapist to share the life-changing benefits of Bowen.
David joined the Border Natural Therapies team in 2015. He helps clients to recover and regain mobility after injuries, reduce chronic and acute pain, assist the body to repair, reduce stress, and find balance in their life.
Bowen therapy is safe and effective for all ages, from newborns to the elderly and treats many conditions by using thorough assessment and gentle touch.
Courtney has been a Remedial Massage Therapist since 2014, most recently completing her Advanced Diploma in Myotherapy at the Melbourne Institute of Massage Therapy in 2015, where she then joined the Albury team.
Courtney enjoys working on a vast range of injuries, most particularly those related to sport as she has a large background in netball and understands how prone the body can be to injuries. Her techniques include dry needling, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and cupping whilst also incorporating relaxation, pregnancy and hot stone massage for people looking for some much needed time out.
Courtney has a great passion for Myotherapy and how the body works. She is always eager and ready to help you feel the best you can.
Cindy has been a soft tissue therapist since 2006 and after 10 years of experience completed her Diploma in Remedial Massage in 2016.
Cindy is passionate in assisting people achieve their full potential in health and wellbeing alleviating pain and dysfunction within the body. She is also a Sports Trainer and provides massage and strapping at the Dederang-Mt Beauty Football/Netball Club.
Her techniques include deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, joint mobilisation, cupping, rock tape, rigid taping and hot stones as part of her remedial treatments.
With her friendly and caring personality she is always striving to meet the goals of her clients.
Following a career in teaching Lubosh made a transition to become a hypnotherapist. Motivated by his desire to help people to improve their mental health and wellbeing he started studying hypnotherapy with a well known educator Scott Jansen in 2014, and after becoming qualified he joined Border Natural Therapies clinic in April 2017.
Hypnotherapy works by guiding your subconscious mind towards a lasting change, whether it is a decision to quit smoking, losing weight, or make an improvement in your performance at school or on a sports field.
As a former educator Lubosh specialises in treating young people with learning difficulties, and he works with local schools to identify ways to support those that need it.
Heidi knows and appreciates the benefits of using Kinesiology from her own personal journey. Because of this she learnt Touch for Health Kinesiology 5 years ago, allowing her to pass on the benefits to others.
Over 2016-2017, Heidi has undertaken higher qualifications to gain her International Certificate in Professional Kinesiology Practice to learn more extensive techniques to facilitate your desired outcome.
